The Last of Us
The Last of Us
Figures, games, apparel, posters and gifts – officially licensed products.
The story exists both as a game and as a television series. The characters are the same – but they do not look the same:
Ask where they know the story from – the controller or the screen.
The Fireflies emblem is common to both the games and the show, and it is recognised without a face and without explanation.
It picks no version and no side. It is the safest gift here.
It carries heavy violence, but its heaviest element is the emotional weight. It is among the harshest stories in its genre – not a category for a child's gift.
Games: two – 2013 and 2020. A third has not been announced, despite the rumours.
Show: two seasons have aired. The third arrives in 2027, from Abby's perspective – there is nothing new on screen within this year.
And it has not been decided whether the third season closes the story or whether one more is needed.
If you are buying a game: each copy is for one specific console. Ask which they own before ordering.
