- 418 cases with a 24-month and 69 with a 36-month warranty
- For ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards
- The case is always bought last — once you know what goes inside
The four measurements that must match
1. Motherboard size. Every case accepts its own size and everything smaller. An ATX case takes ATX, micro-ATX and mini-ITX; a micro-ATX case never takes ATX.
2. Graphics card length. Current high-performance cards often exceed 30 cm. The case states a maximum length in millimetres — leave some margin for the power cables too.
3. Cooler height. The most common assembly mistake: the cooler arrives and the side panel will not close.
4. Radiator size. If you plan liquid cooling, check where and what size radiator the case accepts — front, top or rear.
Airflow: the front panel matters
A case with a mesh front lets air in freely and keeps temperatures lower. A case with a closed glass front looks better but breathes from the sides, so it performs less well with the same number of fans.
Neither is wrong — it is a deliberate trade. If the system has a powerful graphics card and a hot processor, mesh wins; if it is an office machine in a living room, glass costs you nothing.
Also check how many fans are included. Two cases at the same price can differ by three fans, which is a real cost difference.
What else is worth checking
Drive bays: current cases have far fewer than older ones, because M.2 drives take no space. If you keep mechanical drives, count the 3.5-inch bays before buying.
Front ports: check whether USB-C is present, because it is one of those things that annoys you daily when missing.
Dust filters and cable management: a case with removable filters and space behind the motherboard tray stays clean and tidy for years.

Frequently asked questions about cases
- Which case size do I need?
- Start from the motherboard: ATX needs an ATX case, micro-ATX also fits a smaller one. A case always accepts its own size and everything smaller.
- Will my graphics card fit?
- Compare the card length with the maximum the case states, and leave some margin for the power connectors.
- How many fans are included?
- It varies widely by model. It is stated in the specifications — and it is a real cost, because three fans is not a trivial sum.
- Glass or mesh front?
- Mesh for better temperatures, glass for looks. On a system with a powerful graphics card the difference is measurable.
- How many hard drives does it hold?
- Current cases have fewer bays than older ones. If you use mechanical drives, check the 3.5-inch bays.
The case is chosen last, once you know what goes inside. Note three numbers — motherboard size, card length, cooler height — and you cannot go wrong.
