What you need to know
The GamePad with its second screen is more than a controller: in many titles it shows a map, an inventory or a different viewpoint, and the game was designed around it.
The console did not sell as Nintendo hoped, which has one happy consequence today: its titles are affordable, while several are considered among the company finest.
