Busts
Collectible Busts
Sculptures of the head and shoulders at scale — all the detail of a statue, in half the shelf. Nemesis Now, Prime 1 Studio, Gentle Giant, Diamond Select, Queen Studios and Trick Or Treat Studios.
- Head and shoulders: a bust puts the emphasis on the face, where likeness is judged.
- Less space: the same detail as a statue in a much smaller footprint.
- Resin: heavy, fragile pieces made for a solid shelf.
- And gothic: Nemesis Now covers fantasy and gothic themes, not only films.
What are you after?
What a bust is
A sculpture rendering the head, neck and shoulders — the part you recognise. Because the sculptor does not have to render a whole body, facial detail is often higher than on a full-body statue at the same price.
Scales usually run from 1/4 to 1/1. A 1/1 bust renders the face at life size and is striking — but it needs real space and a stable surface.
The makers
Nemesis Now is our deepest range, covering fantasy and gothic themes — dragons, skulls, mythology — at more accessible prices. Prime 1 Studio, Queen Studios and Infinity Studio occupy the premium end, with hand-applied finishes and numbered editions.
Gentle Giant and Diamond Select cover film franchises, while Trick Or Treat Studios specialises in horror.

Frequently asked questions
- What exactly is a bust?
- A sculpture rendering the head, neck and shoulders of a character, without the rest of the body. It is a display piece on a fixed base.
- Why choose a bust over a statue?
- Two reasons: it takes far less space, and facial detail is usually higher for the same price, since all the sculpting effort goes there.
- What scales are available?
- Usually 1/4 to 1/1. Scale and dimensions are stated on each product — a 1/1 bust is life size and needs space to match.
- What material are they?
- Mostly resin (polystone), a heavy and fragile material that renders detail exceptionally well. Some more affordable lines are PVC.
- Are they numbered?
- Many premium lines are released as limited numbered editions. Once they sell out they are not reissued.
- Can I collect my order from the shop?
- Yes, choose collection at checkout — safest for heavy pieces anyway.
A bust is the answer: it keeps the face and the detail of a statue in half the footprint. For full-body sculptures, see Statues & Display Figures.
