Controllers for PC
Plenty of games — driving, platformers, sports — play distinctly better with a controller than with a keyboard. The standard almost every PC game recognises is XInput, supported by Xbox pads and most compatible brands.
PlayStation controllers also work, either directly or through the game distribution platform. Connection is by USB cable, Bluetooth or a wireless dongle — stated on each product.
The rest
- Racing wheels — with pedals and often force feedback. For driving games they transform the experience.
- Joysticks and HOTAS — for flight simulation and space games.
- Gaming headsets — with a microphone, wired or wireless. For team games they are equipment, not luxury.
- Mousepads — large ones cover the keyboard too; the surface affects precision at low sensitivity.
- Streaming — capture cards, microphones and lighting for anyone broadcasting or recording.

Frequently asked questions
- Which controllers work on PC?
- Those supporting the XInput standard — Xbox pads and most compatible brands. They are recognised automatically by most games with no configuration.
- Does a PlayStation controller work on PC?
- Yes, either directly by cable or Bluetooth, or through the game distribution platform which translates it automatically.
- Do I need force feedback on a wheel?
- For serious driving games yes — you feel the road and the grip. For occasional use a simple wheel with vibration is enough.
- Wired or wireless headset?
- Wired has no latency or battery and costs less. Wireless gives freedom of movement, and modern technology has all but eliminated the delay.
- What mousepad do I need?
- It depends on the sensitivity you play at. At low sensitivity you want a large surface because you move your arm a lot. Cloth gives control, hard surfaces give speed.
- What do I need for streaming?
- At minimum a good microphone. A camera and lighting follow, and a capture card only if you broadcast from a console.
- Can I collect my order from the shop?
- Yes, choose collection at checkout, with no shipping cost.
If you game on PC without a controller, it is the purchase that makes the biggest difference — half a games library plays better that way. The second is a proper headset with a microphone.
