Nintendo Switch Games
Over 1,900 titles on physical cartridge — the deepest Switch collection you will find. From Mario and Zelda to Pokémon and indies. All region free and compatible with Switch 2.
- No region lock: the console plays cartridges from any country.
- They run on Switch 2: the new console reads the original cartridges.
- One cartridge, many consoles: you can carry it anywhere — something digital does not allow.
- Check the PEGI rating: the age marking is on the box and in the description.
What are you after?
Cartridge or digital?
A physical cartridge has three advantages that matter: you can resell or lend it, it takes no space on the console internal storage, and it usually costs less than the digital edition — especially on titles that have been out a while.
Digital suits you if you switch games several times an evening. But if you are building a collection or buying a gift, the cartridge is the sensible choice.
Worth knowing
- Region free — unlike older Nintendo consoles, the Switch plays cartridges from every market.
- Switch 2 compatibility — the new console reads the vast majority of original Switch titles.
- Switch, OLED and Lite — all play the same cartridges. The Lite does not connect to a TV and has no detachable Joy-Con.
- Language — many titles include additional language options — stated in the description where applicable.
- Updates — some games download an update on first run. That needs a connection and a little free space.

Frequently asked questions
- Do they work on Switch 2?
- Yes, the Switch 2 reads the vast majority of original Switch cartridges. A handful of titles needing special peripherals are the exception and are noted.
- Is there a region lock?
- No. The Nintendo Switch is region free — it plays cartridges from any country, unlike older Nintendo consoles.
- Do they work on Switch Lite?
- Yes, the cartridges are identical. The Lite does not connect to a TV and has no detachable Joy-Con, so a few games needing motion or two controllers are limited.
- What languages are included?
- Many titles include several European languages, particularly major releases. Where relevant we state it in the product description.
- What does the PEGI rating mean?
- It is the European age rating: 3, 7, 12, 16 or 18. It indicates content suitability and appears on the box and in the description.
- Do I need a memory card?
- Not for physical cartridges, but it helps for updates and extra content. A 128 GB microSD is comfortable.
- Can I collect my order from the shop?
- Yes, choose collection at checkout, with no shipping cost.
Two things are enough: the PEGI rating on the box and whether it plays two people together. For the second, see the Switch accessories — a second controller changes everything.
