Find the code first

Every inkjet printer takes a specific cartridge series. The code is in two places: printed on the cartridge you are removing, or in the manual and on the printer’s support page.

If you only have the printer model, that is enough — use the filter or send it to us and we will identify it. One wrong digit means a cartridge that does not fit.

Practical notes on inkjet printing

Ink dries out if you do not print. It is the most common cause of a "faulty" cartridge. An inkjet printer left unused for months clogs its heads. Print one colour page every couple of weeks and the problem never appears.

Do not remove the cartridge without reason. Every time you take it out and put it back, the printer runs a cleaning cycle that consumes ink.

If you print mostly text in volume, a laser printer with toner costs less per page and has no drying issue. Inkjet wins on colour and photographs.
