Nintendo Wii Games
The console that brought motion into the living room. Its games also play on a Wii U — but watch one thing: the Wii is region locked.
- Region lock: a European console needs a European edition.
- They play on Wii U: backward compatibility is complete.
- Wii Remote required: most titles rely on motion.
- Party games: the strongest local multiplayer library of its era.
What are you after?
What you need to know
The Wii is region locked: a European console will not play American or Japanese discs. It is the most common problem with imports — our editions are European.
Most games need a Wii Remote and many also a Nunchuk. For group play you need one controller per player — and the Wii library is among the best ever made for exactly that.
