Membrane or mechanical?
Membrane — the classics. Quiet, light, cheaper, with a low key profile. The right choice for an office, especially in a shared space where noise matters.
Mechanical — every key has its own switch. That gives a clear sense of actuation, a longer life and replaceable keycaps. The cost is noise and weight.
A practical rule: if you type for hours and the "mushy" feel bothers you, mechanical is worth it. If you share a room, think twice — or look for a mechanical board with silent switches.
Greek key legends
This is the first thing to check and the most commonly overlooked. Many keyboards on the market carry Latin characters only. They type Greek perfectly well — the operating system switches language — but you cannot see where the letters are.
If you touch type, it does not concern you. If you look at the keys, it is decisive. We state it in the specifications of each product.
Size and backlighting
Full size with a numeric pad, if you work with numbers. Without the numeric pad, if you want the mouse closer to your body — a small change that noticeably helps the shoulder after hours.
Backlighting: not decoration if you work at night or in low light. And on wireless boards, remember that lighting consumes battery.

- Does it have Greek characters?
- Some do, some do not. It is stated in the specifications. Without Greek legends the keyboard types Greek normally, but you cannot see the letters on the keys.
- Is mechanical worth it?
- If you type for hours, the feel and durability justify the difference. In a shared space, mind the noise or choose silent switches.
- With or without a numeric pad?
- With, if you work with numbers. Without, if you want the mouse closer — it helps the shoulder during long sessions.
- Wireless or wired?

- Can it be cleaned?
- Yes — turn it over and shake it, and use compressed air. On mechanical boards, the keycaps come off and can be washed separately.
