Why an electric device for windows exists

The problem with windows is not the cleaning — it is the dirty water running down. It runs onto the sill, the wall and the floor, and leaves the marks you then try to wipe away.

An electric cleaner vacuums the water instead of letting it run. The result is glass with no streaks, a dry sill and no mopping afterwards.

The second benefit is time: a balcony door that took ten minutes with a cloth and spray is finished in two.

The correct technique

Soap first, vacuum second. The device does not wash — it collects. You go over the glass with a cloth and solution first, then run the device from top to bottom.

Not in sunshine. It is the classic reason glass ends up streaked: the solution dries before you can collect it. Clean early in the morning or on a cloudy day.

Empty the tank before it fills. Once full, the device stops vacuuming and starts leaving lines.

And the tools without power

A device is not always necessary. A good squeegee with the right technique gives an excellent result — provided you wipe it after every pass.

And an important safety note: do not climb on a chair or a sill to reach an outside pane. A pole costs very little; a fall from a balcony does not.
