The mount decides what the camera sees
A camera is only as good as the angle it looks from. And the angle depends on the mount.
The brackets that come in the box cover standard placement — a flat wall, a ceiling. For a building corner, a pole, or mounting at a particular angle, you need a dedicated bracket.
One practical tip that changes effectiveness: the camera must not face the sun or a bright window. Backlight turns every face into a silhouette. It is the most common placement error — and it is not fixed by a more expensive camera, only by the right angle.
Monitoring displays
AG Neovo makes displays designed specifically for security, and the difference from an ordinary computer monitor is real.
A security display is built for continuous 24-hour operation, with a static image that would damage an ordinary monitor. It also has surface protection for public areas — a reception, a shop, a guard post.
If the display will only run occasionally, an ordinary computer monitor is enough. If it stays on permanently in a security office, it is not.
What else you will need
Power supplies. Correctly rated for all the cameras together, with margin for night-time consumption.
microSD cards. Many cameras record locally, as a backup or instead of a recorder. They need cards built for continuous recording — an ordinary camera card fails within months.
Weatherproofing components. On outdoor cameras, the connection points are where water gets in. Weatherproof junction boxes cost very little and save installations.

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a special bracket?
- If mounting on a building corner, a pole or at a particular angle, yes. The brackets in the box cover only standard positions.
- Why do faces come out dark?
- Almost always backlight — the camera faces the sun or a bright window. It is fixed by the angle, not by a more expensive camera.
- Will an ordinary computer monitor do?
- For occasional use yes. For continuous 24-hour operation, a display designed for security is needed.
- Which microSD card for a camera?
- One built for continuous recording. An ordinary camera card fails within months.
Before fixing it in place, think about the angle — a backlit camera recognises no face, however expensive it is.
