Origin and background of the character
Izuku Midoriya (known by his hero name "Deku") is the central protagonist of the hit series My Hero Academia, the Shonen manga written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. Born without any powers (“Quirkless”) in a world where 80% of the population possesses superhuman abilities, his unwavering determination and innate sense of sacrifice catch the attention of All Might, the legendary Hero No. 1.
