The day everything on Sera changed.
Gears of War: E-Day turns the clock back fourteen years before the first Gears of War, to the day the Locust erupted from below and tore Sera's civilisation apart in a matter of hours.
You play a younger Marcus Fenix alongside Dom Santiago, on a Sera that has not yet learned what its enemy is. There are no fortified lines, no COG war machine ready to answer — only collapsing cities and two soldiers trying to stay alive.
The series returns to its roots: heavy, physical cover shooting, tight corridors, scarce ammunition and an enemy that comes from every direction.
What stands out
- A prequel to the entire series — Emergence Day itself
- A young Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago in the lead roles
- A return to the darker, more frightening tone of the original Gears
- Campaign co-op
