Boruto
He is the son, not the father – and the merchandise has two different versions of him.

First: Naruto or Boruto?
It is the most common confusion in this category – and it is easy to settle.
Naruto is the father. Boruto is his son.
They are two different series, with a different era, a different central figure and different merchandise.
If the gift is for someone who loves Naruto rather than the younger generation, his products are under Naruto.
Naruto does appear in his son's series – but as an adult, not as the young ninja most people know.
Two versions of the same character
You will see Boruto figures that do not look alike. It is not a mistake.
The story splits into two periods, with a time skip between them. In the second, Boruto is several years older – and looks completely different.
Ask which version they want. Someone who only watches the anime knows the young one; someone who reads the manga wants the older one.
Where the story stands right now
The anime stopped in March 2023, at episode 293 – right before the time skip.
Since then, the story continues only in the manga. The second period began in 2023 and already runs to eight volumes.
In the story, Boruto has been trained by Sasuke and returns to a village that regards him as the enemy – while both his parents are trapped.
The manga comes out once a month – and this August it is taking a one-month break.
The next chapter arrives in mid-September.
The new anime – what is actually true
There is a lot of misinformation here, so it is worth saying plainly.
What is confirmed: the studio has officially announced that the new anime is in production, and in May 2026 released an anniversary trailer marking ten years of the series.
What is not confirmed: the date. None has been announced. Anything circulating on social media as "confirmed" is speculation.
There is, however, one substantial change that has been announced: the new anime will not follow the weekly model.
And that solves the fans' biggest complaint.
The old anime had many episodes outside the story – the familiar "filler" – which wore a lot of viewers down. The new one is planned to be faithful to the manga and essentially filler-free, something that has never happened in this universe before.
What to choose
- Figures & Funko POP: mind which version – young or teenage.
- Manga: the living story – this is where it continues now.
- Apparel: with the village and family symbols.
- Posters & art prints: battle scenes, very strong on a wall.
- Keyrings & accessories: smaller gifts by character.
- Sasuke, Sarada, Kawaki: the characters around Boruto have their own followings.
For someone who only follows the anime: the manga is the ideal gift – it continues the story far beyond where the broadcast stopped, and they will have caught up before the new anime arrives.
