This Pyramid International magnetic bookmark, officially licensed by Stranger Things, draws on the ‘2 Worlds’ concept, inspired by the contrast between Hawkins and its dark, supernatural counterpart. Its black and red design draws on one of the series’ most recognisable visual themes, whilst offering a compact accessory for novels, notebooks, diaries or textbooks.
The design features the famous Stranger Things logo at the top, in red on a black background. Beneath it, several silhouettes on bicycles ride through a forest, directly evoking the group of friends’ adventures in the surroundings of Hawkins. The lower section reverses the composition and plunges the silhouettes into a more unsettling scene, featuring roots, dark vegetation and a creature alluding to the series’ supernatural world.
This graphic composition serves as a miniature representation of the ‘two worlds’ of Stranger Things: the seemingly ordinary town of Hawkins on one side and its dark, menacing surroundings on the other. The almost exclusive use of black and red reinforces this duality and echoes the colours traditionally associated with the series’ logo.
The bookmark folds around the edge of a page and uses two magnetic strips to hold it in place. This design ensures it remains attached to the book when it is moved or carried, and avoids the need to fold the corners of the pages.

Origin and lore
Stranger Things is set mainly in Hawkins, a small fictional town in Indiana where a series of supernatural events begins with the disappearance of Will Byers. His friends Mike, Dustin and Lucas set out to find him and encounter Eleven, a young girl with powerful psychic abilities who is linked to the experiments being conducted in secret at the Hawkins National Laboratory.
During their search, the characters discover a dark realm closely linked to their own world, known as the Upside Down. In the early seasons, this appears as a dark version of Hawkins: familiar locations are replicated there, but shrouded in shadows, spores and organic vegetation, and inhabited by dangerous creatures such as the Demogorgon. Portals allow passage between the two environments.
This contrast between the everyday lives of the teenagers in Hawkins and the supernatural threat is one of the fundamental visual principles of *Stranger Things*. The same streets, houses and locations can thus be presented in a familiar light or transformed into unsettling settings when associated with the Upside Down. The series’ production team has, in fact, regularly used the same sets before visually transforming them to create their dark counterparts.
The ‘2 Worlds’ motif on this bookmark directly echoes this idea: the young heroes and their bikes appear in the world of Hawkins, whilst an inverted composition beneath their feet evokes the menacing environment lurking on the other side. The product thus encapsulates one of the central concepts of the entire series in a single illustration.
