Experience the eerie atmosphere of Camp Crystal Lake with this A5 Premium Friday the 13th notebook from Pyramid International. Inspired by the world of Jason Voorhees, this notebook combines a black cover with a graphic design reminiscent of a retro summer camp poster, reimagined in the horror aesthetic characteristic of the franchise.
The cover is dominated by a stylised depiction of Jason’s hockey mask, accompanied by the inscriptions ‘Summertime Scares’, ‘Happy Camping’, ‘Camp Crystal Lake’ and ‘More Screams’. Black, off-white and red form the bulk of the colour palette, whilst a silhouette of Jason appears at the bottom. The page edges are also red, emphasising the contrast with the black cover.

Origin and backstory of the character (Lore)
The Friday the 13th saga began in 1980 at Camp Crystal Lake, a holiday camp marked by the drowning of a young boy and a series of murders. In the first film, several new counsellors attempt to reopen the camp despite warnings about its reputation and the tragic events that took place there.
Jason Voorhees gradually becomes the central figure of the franchise. His most famous appearance is inseparable from his ice hockey goaltender’s mask, introduced in Friday the 13th Part III. The mask used as the basis for the design was originally a piece of hockey kit before being reworked – notably with its distinctive red markings – to give it the now-iconic appearance of Jason.
The artwork for this notebook draws precisely on this iconography: the mask dominates the cover, whilst references to Camp Crystal Lake, the campsite and the woods transform what might otherwise be a summer advert into a direct evocation of Jason’s hunting ground.
