Discover one of the most unusual versions ofthe EVA-02 with this Evangelion Production Model-New 02 α (JA-02 Body Assembly Cannibalized) model kit from Kotobukiya. Directly inspired by the film Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, this kit reproduces the hybrid and heavily modified configuration of the unit piloted by Asuka.
Built to a scale of 1/400, the model measures approximately 22 cm when assembled. Its highly distinctive design combines elements of the EVA-02 with components from the JA-02, resulting in an asymmetrical, mechanical and particularly aggressive silhouette.
The kit utilises multi-coloured moulded parts and also includes some pre-painted parts, allowing for a convincing finish straight out of the box, even without a full paint job. The various joints then enable you to recreate numerous dynamic poses inspired by scenes from the film.

Origin and background of the model (Lore)
The Evangelion Production Model-New 02 α appears in *Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time*, the final film in the *Rebuild of Evangelion* tetralogy. It is a radically modified evolution ofthe EVA-02, the unit historically associated with Asuka Shikinami Langley.
Following the extensive damage and modifications sustained by the EVA-02 throughout the course of events, the unit was rebuilt using components from the JA-02, giving rise to this hybrid version nicknamed ‘Body Assembly Cannibalised’. Its deliberately disparate appearance perfectly illustrates the desperate situation in which the WILLE forces find themselves.
This configuration retains the EVA-02’s signature red colour scheme whilst incorporating much heavier, more industrial mechanical elements. The result is a machine that is markedly more asymmetrical than the classic Evangelions, with an almost makeshift aesthetic that directly reflects the circumstances of its reconstruction.
This Kotobukiya model kit therefore allows you to recreate one of the final and most distinctive incarnations of the EVA-02, particularly prized for its technical design and its role in the saga’s final film instalment.
