Each game, a different era
This is the identity of the series – and at the same time the reason anyone buying a gift gets confused.
There is no single hero. Each game has its own protagonist, in its own historical period:
For a gift: ask which Assassin's Creed they played. A figure from the wrong game is a character they do not know.
The game set in Greece
Assassin's Creed Odyssey is set in ancient Greece, during the Peloponnesian War.
The player roams Athens, Sparta, Delphi, Santorini and dozens of other islands, reconstructed in remarkable detail.
For a Greek audience it is among the most interesting games in the series – you recognise places you have visited.
The series generally builds on real history: the same applies to Yasuke in Shadows, who was a genuine historical figure – an African man who became a samurai in sixteenth-century Japan.
Shadows – the most recent
It launched in March 2025 and has two protagonists: Naoe, a shinobi, and Yasuke, a samurai.
It recorded the second-highest day-one sales in the history of the series.
In June 2026 the final major update was released – with a new story chapter concluding the two heroes' adventure.
The game is now complete: anyone buying it today gets all of the content.
Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.
What is coming
- A new game under the codename Hexe, from Ubisoft's Montreal studio. Described as darker and more narrative-driven. No date announced.
- A live-action television series – confirmed, with casting being announced gradually.
Alongside this, Ubisoft continues to support the older games in the series with technical improvements.
What to choose
The Brotherhood's distinctive emblem is a design that stands alone: it works on a t-shirt, pendant or keyring without needing to show a character at all. It is among the most requested designs in the collection.
- Figures: the heroes of each era – from simple pieces to large statues.
- Replicas: hidden blades and period weapons.
- Apparel: t-shirts and hoodies with the emblem.
- Jewellery: pendants and rings.
- Console games: for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC.
