The manga has finished, the anime has not, and there is a film that is a prequel but came out second. Here is the right order, where things stand, and what is worth collecting.

What order to watch it in
There is a genuine trap here: "Jujutsu Kaisen 0" is a prequel – but it was released after season one.
The recommended order
- Season 1 – the introduction to the world.
- Jujutsu Kaisen 0 (film) – a prequel, following Yuta. Watch it here, not first: it lands far better once you know the world.
- Season 2 – the "Shibuya Incident", the turning point of the series.
- Season 3 – "The Culling Game", January to March 2026.
There is also the compilation film "Execution", which bridges the end of season two and the start of season three. It is not essential – it is existing material reassembled for the big screen.
Where we are
The manga has finished. Gege Akutami concluded it in September 2024, six years after it began.
The anime has not. Season three covered the first half of the Culling Game and ended in March 2026.
Season four: confirmed
It was announced the same day season three ended, on 26 March 2026, and will cover the rest of the Culling Game. No date has been given – and going by the series' previous gaps, it may be some time.
For anyone who cannot wait: the whole story exists in the manga. Season three stops around chapter 221 – chapter 222 begins the final arc.
The story
People's negative emotions – fear, hatred, regret – give birth to monsters. They are called curses, and most people cannot even see them.
Yuji Itadori, an ordinary student, swallows a cursed object to save his friends: the finger of Sukuna, the most powerful curse who ever existed.
He survives – but Sukuna now lives inside him.

White hair, black blindfold. The strongest – and by far the most commercial character in the series.
The protagonist – pink hair, and the vessel of Sukuna.
His two classmates – each with their own technique and their own following.
The "King of Curses" – with his distinctive facial markings.
What age it is for
Jujutsu Kaisen carries a 17+ rating for violence and language. It is not a children's series.
It has intense content, the deaths of major characters, and scenes unsuitable for young viewers. The merchandise is bought by teenagers and adults.
