A striped t-shirt, mug or phone case works with nobody in the picture. The same goes for the sandworms, which carry the same pattern.

So there are two audiences: those who saw it as children in the 1980s, and the teenagers who discovered it recently.

Beetlejuice is a comedy, but a macabre one – with corpses and frightening imagery. It is not for young children: it suits twelve and up. The products themselves are of course innocent.
