LEGO - XMAS - Shopping Bag

This LEGO Xmas shopping bag combines a practical design with a motif entirely dedicated to the festive season. Made from polypropylene, it is designed to carry shopping, presents or various personal items, whilst featuring the distinctive style of LEGO minifigures in a Christmassy setting.

The bag is predominantly red, with the words ‘Merry Christmas’ in white and orange on the front. The design features several festive minifigures gathered around a Christmas tree built from LEGO bricks, including Father Christmas, an elf and a character inspired by a nutcracker soldier. The LEGO logo appears at the bottom of the design.

The side panels are decorated with small Christmas motifs arranged in rows, including fairy lights, candy canes, candles, stars, decorations and other festive symbols. The long red handles allow the bag to be carried by hand or over the shoulder, whilst the side gussets give it extra capacity when full.

Origin and background of the licence (Lore)

For several decades, the LEGO universe has been based on building environments, vehicles and characters from modular bricks. Minifigures play a central role in this universe and bring a multitude of themes to life, ranging from cityscapes and space to fantasy worlds and seasonal scenes.

Christmas is a recurring theme at LEGO, with creations featuring Christmas trees, snow-covered villages, decorated houses, Christmas markets and traditional characters. The minifigures allow these symbols to be adapted to the brand’s own visual language, transforming Father Christmas, elves and other festive characters into instantly recognisable, articulated little figures.

The design of this shopping bag embodies this approach perfectly. The brick-built Christmas tree, the costumed minifigures and the numerous small Christmas decorations transform the classic motifs of the festive season into a quintessentially LEGO composition, designed to accompany Christmas shopping and gift-giving.
