Character background and universe (Lore)

Kento Nanami is a Grade 1 exorcist in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. A former student at the Tokyo Exorcism School, he briefly left the field to work as a salaried employee before returning to the fight against the Cursed Ones.

Nanami is characterised by his calm, methodical and deeply pragmatic nature. Unlike more impulsive characters, he approaches battles with an almost professional logic, even going so far as to regard certain hours as ‘overtime’.

His innate technique is based on the 7:3 Ratio, which allows him to identify a specific weak point on a target by symbolically dividing it in a ratio of seven to three. Combined with his mastery of close-quarters combat and his cloth-wrapped weapon, this ability makes him a particularly effective exorcist.

He also plays an important mentoring role for Yuji Itadori, whom he accompanies on several missions and helps to better understand the responsibilities associated with being an exorcist.
