The Office – Dunder Mifflin, Michael Scott and The Paper
Updated: · Techbox, Thessaloniki
A paper company in Scranton, a boss who wants everyone to love him and a camera that sees everything. The story of the show, its characters and gifts every fan will understand.
From Britain to Scranton
The Office began in 2001 in Britain, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The American version ran from 2005 to 2013, across nine seasons and more than two hundred episodes, and became even more popular than the original.
It is shot like a documentary: the characters look at the camera and talk in "interviews", which became its trademark.
The characters
Michael Scott (Steve Carell) is the manager of the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch, desperate to be liked. Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) is the over-devoted salesman with a beet farm, and Jim and Pam are the couple the whole show follows.
The return: The Paper
In 2025 The Paper began, a series in the same universe and the same documentary style, this time at a local newspaper in Ohio. It is proof that The Office, more than a decade after it ended, remains one of the most loved comedies.
What to give
Because the show is set in an office, its merchandise makes the ideal gift for a colleague. Funko POP has covered almost the whole cast, Tubbz are perfect for a desk, and Abysse and Numskull mugs carry lines from the show.
