The film that almost never came out
"Coyote vs. Acme" – 28 August 2026
Wile E. Coyote sues ACME because its products always blow up in his face rather than the Road Runner's. Live action and animation together, with Will Forte and John Cena as the opposing lawyers.
And the story behind the film is one of the strangest Hollywood has seen:
The film was shot and completed. In 2023, the studio decided not to release it at all and to write it off as a thirty-million-dollar tax loss.
The backlash was enormous. Two years later, another company bought it for around fifty million – more than the studio would have gained by burying it.
Which is fitting, in a way, for a character who never stops trying again.

After years of uncertainty, Looney Tunes returns to cinemas twice in the same year.
In November, a new short film featuring Daffy, Bugs and Elmer screens ahead of another children's feature.
It is the first theatrical Looney Tunes short since 2014. And, as announced, it revolves around a football match – a choice that suits the year.
