The kinds of figures
Prize figures (Banpresto, Furyu) are affordable and good quality. Scale figures have finer paint and detail in scales such as 1/7. Action figures are articulated with accessories, while statues are display pieces. All under figures.

Funko POP
Funko POP are the easiest way to start collecting. Chase editions are rare variants of a design, and Exclusives are sold only at particular shops or events. For collectors the box matters: a box in good condition keeps its value.
Genuine or fake?
Fakes mostly appear among anime figures. The signs are blurry paint, wrong colours, a box without a licence mark and a price far below what you would expect. Every product at Techbox comes from official distributors.
