The graceful Ermeda joins the Grande Scale collection within Kotobukiya’s Arcanadea range. Designed by illustrator necömi, this angelic-style Dear is presented in an enlarged format standing approximately 27 cm tall, allowing her refined outfit, wings and numerous decorative details to be shown off to their best advantage.

This model kit allows Ermeda to be displayed in two different forms. Normal Mode depicts the character in a peaceful state, whilst Wilize Mode reveals her battle form by replacing several parts. The openings in her hair can also be concealed, allowing the model to be displayed with or without her feather-shaped accessories.

Ermeda comes with four pre-printed faces, plus expression decals to further customise her appearance. The tips and back section of her hair are articulated, whilst the front and rear sections of her hairstyle are compatible with those of Grande Scale Lumitea. A part representing the engagement ring is also included.

Her two pairs of wings are mounted on joints specially designed to preserve the elegance of her silhouette. The various parts of her skirt are movable, and two separate fabric pieces are provided to adapt her outfit to standing or sitting poses. The retractable knee joints and improved hip design offer a wide range of movement.

Ermeda also comes with a bow, several arrows and a simple base. The parts are moulded in multiple colours to achieve a detailed finish straight out of the box, whilst allowing modellers the option to complete the finish with paint.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Arcanadea is an original range from Kotobukiya blending science fiction and fantasy. Its universe features creatures known as Dears, capable of forming a special bond with their master through a process called Engage. Each character can be displayed in an everyday appearance, known as Normal Mode, or in a battle form known as Wilize Mode.

Ermeda is an angelic Dear belonging to the race of celestial beings and associated with the element of water. She is distinguished by her gentle, caring and maternal personality, which naturally draws others to seek her protection and comfort. Behind her calm and dreamy demeanour, however, lies a perceptive and reliable fighter, capable of reacting swiftly when the situation demands it.

Although she is not easily angered, Ermeda becomes particularly formidable when someone threatens the people or things she cares about. She is one of the Seven Sacred Swords, a group comprising highly powerful female warriors. Despite her impressive abilities, she has a particularly poor sense of direction, which contrasts with her elegant and reassuring demeanour.

Her Wilize Mode unfurls her wings and her combat gear, notably her bow and arrows. This appearance emphasises her celestial nature and her affinity with water, whilst retaining the elegance and gentleness that characterise her.
