Boost the Autobots’ ranks with Energon Cybertread, a Deluxe-class transforming figure from the Transformers: Age of the Primes collection. This combat robot features a blue colour scheme inspired by Energon and can transform from an articulated Cybertronian figure into a powerful armoured vehicle.

In robot mode, Cybertread stands approximately 14 cm tall. Its articulated design allows you to move its head, arms and legs to create different combat poses or incorporate it into a scene featuring other Transformers characters.

The figure transforms from robot mode to tank mode in 20 steps. The tracks, turret and various mechanical panels rearrange themselves to form a compact Cybertronian vehicle, suited to ground combat.

Character background and universe (Lore)

The Transformers universe tells the story of the struggle between the heroic Autobots and the conquering Decepticons. Originally from Cybertron, these living robots can alter their structure to assume an alternate mode, usually inspired by a vehicle, an animal or a machine.

The Age of the Primes collection explores the legacy of the Thirteen Primes, the first Cybertronian beings created in Transformers mythology. Each possesses a distinct personality, abilities and influence, and much of the universe’s powers and lineages can be traced back to their history.

Cybertread is presented as a Weaponizer-type Autobot unit. Unlike an ordinary transforming robot, he can not only take the form of a tank, but also split his body into several components that can be used as armour or equipment by another Transformer.

This ability allows him to take on a support role on the battlefield. In vehicle mode, Cybertread can provide mobile firepower, whilst his various parts enhance Energon Optimus Prime when combined with his armour.

The term ‘Energon’ refers to the Cybertronians’ primary source of energy. Depending on the various Transformers continuities, this substance can be used as fuel, as a raw material, or to power particularly powerful weapons and transformations.

The translucent or luminous blue finish of this version evokes this Cybertronian energy. It sets Energon Cybertread apart from more traditional interpretations of the character and emphasises its role as a support unit for Optimus Prime.

This figure thus offers three display options: an articulated Autobot robot, a transformable Cybertronian tank, and a set of armour components compatible with Energon Optimus Prime.
