Meet Remilia Scarlet, mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, with this figurine from FuRyu’s Noodle Stopper Figure collection.

Remilia is depicted sitting in an elegant pose, holding a small cup in one hand and its saucer in the other. Her smiling expression, red eyes and short lavender-blue hair capture the character’s key features, whilst her pale pink outfit lends the figure a gentle and refined appearance.

Her dress is adorned with numerous ruffles, red trim and matching bows. Her famous bonnet is also faithfully reproduced, complete with its large scarlet ribbon. Behind her, the black vampire wings create a striking contrast with the pastel colours of her outfit and make the mistress of the Scarlet Manor instantly recognisable.

Thanks to her seated pose, the figurine can be placed on the edge of a shelf, a desk or any other flat surface. Like FuRyu’s other Noodle Stopper creations, it can also be placed on the lid of a packet of instant noodles to keep it closed whilst preparing the meal.

Measuring approximately 13 cm, this pre-painted figurine is made from PVC. It comes ready for display and requires no painting or complex assembly. The design for this version is by illustrator Yuka Nonoko.

Origin and background of the character

Remilia Scarlet is a vampire who lives in the Scarlet Devil Mansion, situated near the mist-shrouded lake of Gensokyo. She is the elder sister of Flandre Scarlet and runs the mansion with the help of several characters, including her maid Sakuya Izayoi and her guardian Hong Meiling.

Despite her childlike appearance, Remilia possesses great power and claims to be able to influence fate. She often comes across as proud, capricious and theatrical, but retains genuine authority over the inhabitants of her mansion.

She plays a central role in Touhou Koumakyou: The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, in which a thick scarlet mist blankets Gensokyo to block out the sunlight. This Noodle Stopper figurine captures her aristocratic elegance and vampiric nature in a more peaceful scene, where she is savouring a drink whilst perched on the edge of her base.
