Hermione Jean Weasley (née Granger) was born on 19 September 1979 to Muggle-born dentists. Hermione is a brilliant pupil, a generous and very sensitive young woman. She was very studious and loved to read.
She first met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley on the Hogwarts Express. At first, the two boys regarded her as a know-it-all, a feeling that was reinforced when Hermione always answered the teachers' questions. Later, Hermione turns herself in and spares Harry and Ron when they save her life from a troll that has broken into the castle. The trio soon became inseparable. During her school years, Hermione develops romantic feelings for Ron. Like Ron, she follows Harry on all his adventures. They decide to give up their final year at school to accompany Harry on his quest for the Horcruxes and his fight against Voldemort.
