In the Hunter x Hunter universe, Chrollo Lucilfer is the founder and undisputed leader of the Phantom Troupe (the Spider), a criminal organisation comprising thirteen formidable Nen users hailing from the Shooting Star Landfill. Calm, highly intelligent and possessing an extraordinary strategic mind, he regards the Phantom Troupe as an entity superior to his own life. His Specialisation-type Nen ability, known as Skill Hunter (The Bandit’s Secret), takes the form of a book through which he can steal, store and utilise his opponents’ Nen abilities, provided certain strict conditions are met. Capable of standing up to the world’s most powerful assassins, such as Silva and Zeno Zoldik, all at once, Chrollo orchestrates heists on an international scale whilst remaining a cultured and deeply enigmatic man.
