In the world of Ranma ½, Ranma Saotome is a young martial arts prodigy who is afflicted by a strange and hilarious curse. Whilst undergoing intensive training in China with his father Genma, the pair accidentally fall into the cursed springs of Jusenkyo. Ever since that day, at the slightest contact with cold water, Ranma instantly transforms into a lovely young red-haired girl (whilst his father becomes a giant panda), and only regains his original male appearance upon contact with hot water. Back in Japan, this involuntary dual identity greatly complicates his daily life, particularly his tumultuous relationship with his arranged fiancée, Akane Tendo, and his many rivals in combat. This figurine celebrates the unique design and duality of this timeless character who has left his mark on the history of shōnen and romantic comedy.
