Origin and character background (Lore)
In the Naruto universe, Tsunade is the granddaughter of Hashirama Senju (the First Hokage) and one of the three Legendary Sannin trained by Hiruzen Sarutobi, alongside Jiraiya and Orochimaru. Recognised worldwide as the strongest kunoichi and the greatest specialist in medical ninjutsu, she revolutionised the organisation of combat squads by incorporating medics into them. Deeply scarred by the tragic loss of her brother Nawaki and her fiancé Dan, she developed a pathological addiction to gambling (earning the nickname ‘Legendary Sucker’ due to her abysmal luck) before crossing paths with the young Naruto Uzumaki. Inspired by his determination, she overcomes her past and agrees to become the Fifth Hokage (Godaime Hokage) to lead the Hidden Village of Konoha through its darkest crises. This figurine celebrates the natural authority, resilience and historical significance of the ruler of the medicinal slugs.
