FRIDAY THE 13TH - Mask - 'Spinner' Keychain

Discover one of the most iconic symbols of horror cinema with this Friday the 13th Spinner keyring from Pyramid International. Inspired by Jason Voorhees and his famous ice-hockey mask, this accessory captures the imagery of Camp Crystal Lake in a compact format, perfect for attaching to a set of keys or as a bag charm.

The keyring consists of a black circular medallion featuring Jason’s white mask at its centre, recognisable by its cut-outs and red markings. Surrounding the mask is the red inscription ‘Meet Me at Crystal Lake Camp’, accompanied by small graphic elements evoking the camp’s setting and the slasher universe of the franchise. The packaging also features the red Friday the 13th logo on a dark background reminiscent of a blood-stained forest.

The unique feature of this model is its Spinner mechanism: the medallion incorporates a rotating element that adds a touch of interactivity to the keyring. The whole unit is attached to a ring, allowing it to be easily fastened to keys, a zip or a bag.

Origin and character background (Lore)

Jason Voorhees is the iconic figure of the Friday the 13th horror series. His story is closely linked to Camp Crystal Lake, a holiday camp where he is said to have gone missing as a child and whose tragic events serve as the starting point for the various massacres depicted in the franchise. The first film, however, focuses primarily on his mother, Pamela Voorhees, whilst Jason himself becomes the central antagonist from the sequels onwards.

The hockey mask does not feature in Jason’s earliest appearances. It becomes his trademark in *Friday the 13th Part III*, where he seizes the mask that would subsequently become inseparable from the character. NECA also identifies this third instalment as Jason’s first appearance wearing his famous hockey mask.

Combined with his massive build, his weapons and the woods surrounding Crystal Lake, this mask has gradually become one of the most instantly recognisable symbols of slasher cinema. This Pyramid keyring captures this iconography precisely by placing the mask at the centre of a Crystal Lake Camp emblem, transforming the imagery of a peaceful holiday camp into a direct reference to the macabre world of Friday the 13th.
