KASANE TETO - Kasane Teto Baguette A - Mini plush toy 11cm

This FuRyu mini soft toy depicts Kasane Teto in a ‘Baguette A’ version, in a compact size of approximately 11 cm. The character is rendered here in a particularly cute chibi style, with a large head and a miniature silhouette designed for collecting.

Kasane Teto retains her most recognisable features, notably her pinkish-red hair styled into two voluminous, forest-shaped locks. This version gives her a very cheerful expression, with large embroidered eyes, rosy cheeks and a small, stylised mouth. She wears an outfit in shades of beige and cream, embellished with a small red detail at the collar and a decorative scalloped trim at the hem. Her hands are clasped in front of her, reinforcing the demure and endearing nature of this interpretation.

Thanks to its compact size, this soft toy can easily be displayed on a desk or shelf, or added to a collection dedicated to virtual singers.

Character background and lore

Kasane Teto is a virtual singer created in 2008 as part of a collaborative project launched on the Japanese forum 2channel. The character was initially conceived as an April Fool’s Day prank designed to make people believe a new VOCALOID existed. However, the idea proved so successful that Teto was subsequently given a proper voice bank for the UTAU voice synthesis software, gradually becoming a character in her own right within Japanese online music culture.

To mark her fifteenth anniversary, Kasane Teto reached a new milestone with the release of Synthesizer V AI Kasane Teto in April 2023. Her official profile notably describes her as having her famous reddish-brown hair in twin braids, an official age of 31 and a ‘chimera’ nature. The French baguette also holds an iconic place in her identity: her official profile lists it both as her favourite food and as the object traditionally associated with her, which explains the wide range of merchandise centred around the theme of the baguette.
