WINNIE THE POOH - Piglet - Mug 340ml

Winnie the Pooh – Piglet – 340 ml mug

Rediscover Piglet’s charm with this 340 ml porcelain mug designed by Egan under official Disney licence. Part of the Italian brand’s Winnie the Pooh collection, it combines a size suitable for everyday drinks with a floral design dedicated to Winnie the Pooh’s faithful companion.

The mug depicts a smiling Piglet surrounded by flowers, accompanied by a little grey rabbit and botanical motifs drawn in a light, watercolour-style. The various shades of pink naturally play a prominent role in the design, whilst the inside of the mug features a wide pink border with a slightly blurred effect. The name ‘Piglet’ is also inscribed on the inside near the rim.

Made from New Bone China, this mug has a capacity of 340 ml, making it suitable for coffee, tea, hot chocolate or herbal teas. Egan confirms that it is dishwasher and microwave safe, making it suitable for everyday use as well as being a collectable piece of Disney tableware.

Origin and character background (Lore)

Piglet is one of Winnie-the-Pooh’s closest friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. Although small in stature, shy and easily worried, he nevertheless has, according to Disney, one of the biggest hearts in the whole forest. His generosity and loyalty regularly lead him to overcome his shyness to accompany or help his friends.

He shares many adventures with Winnie, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Big Guru, Little Guru and Christopher Robin. Despite his cautious nature and hesitations, Piglet often shows unexpected courage when his friends need him, which is one of the key traits of his personality.

This aspect of his character is particularly highlighted in *Piglet’s Big Movie*, where his friends realise just how much Piglet’s many small acts of courage and kindness have meant to them. The delicate, floral design of this Egan mug is therefore a perfect match for this tender, sensitive character who is deeply devoted to his friends.
