FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S - Freddy - Magnetic Bookmark

This Pyramid International magnetic bookmark, officially licensed by Five Nights at Freddy’s, features two of the iconic animatronics from the first game: Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie. Although the BEM’S product code is simply titled ‘Freddy’, the design clearly shows Freddy on one side and Bonnie on the other. Its compact size makes it easy to use as a bookmark in a novel, notebook or diary.

One side is dedicated to Freddy Fazbear. The brown animatronic bear is depicted from the front, wearing his black top hat and bow tie, with a deliberately worn-out appearance. The Five Nights at Freddy’s logo appears at the bottom, whilst the dark background directly evokes the eerie atmosphere of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

When the bookmark is turned over, Bonnie appears in a particularly expressive close-up. The purple animatronic rabbit is depicted with his long ears and glowing red eyes, creating a striking contrast with the image of Freddy. This choice of two different characters gives the product a genuine double-sided design rather than a simple repetition of the same motif.

The bookmark folds around the edge of a page and its two magnetic surfaces snap together to hold the page in place. This system reduces the risk of the bookmark slipping or falling out when the book is moved. When closed, it measures approximately 9 x 4.5 cm.

Origin and character lore

Five Nights at Freddy’s was originally an indie horror game created by Scott Cawthon and released in 2014. The player takes on the role of a night watchman working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a family restaurant whose main attractions are animatronic characters designed to entertain children during the day. Once night falls, however, their behaviour becomes particularly unpredictable.

Freddy Fazbear is the animatronic bear who lends his name to the restaurant and the franchise. Recognisable by his black top hat and bow tie, he is the main attraction at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. In the first game, the player must monitor his movements and those of the other animatronics via security cameras whilst managing a limited supply of electricity.

Bonnie is one of Freddy’s animatronic companions and is part of the original line-up alongside Chica and Foxy. Taking the form of a large purple rabbit, he acts as the guitarist in the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza band and also becomes one of the main threats faced by the night watchman during the night.

The contrast between their original purpose as mascots designed for family entertainment and their unsettling behaviour after closing time is one of the founding principles of Five Nights at Freddy’s. By bringing Freddy and Bonnie together on its two sides, this bookmark directly features two of the most iconic silhouettes from the original game.
