The Bandai Spirits - Parts Separator is an official modelling tool designed specifically for cleanly dismantling and separating plastic model parts (mainly Gunpla / Gundam kits).
It's designed for beginners and experienced modellers alike, with a range of key functions:
  • Error correction: It allows you to disassemble parts if you've made a mistake in the assembly order, without forcing you.
  • Preparation for painting: Model builders often snap-fit their kit before disassembling it completely to paint each component individually.
  • Plastic protection: Unlike a hobby knife or screwdriver, which can scratch or bend plastic, this tool is moulded in resin/plastic. Its bevelled blade is thin enough to slip between two tightly packed parts and distribute leverage pressure without leaving stress marks or discolouration.
  • Secondary functions: The tool incorporates a small 3 mm pin specially designed to grip and push rubber connectors(polycaps) or push connecting pins to eject parts from behind without crushing them.
