MADOKA MAGICA THE MOVIE - Kaname Madoka - Pop Up Parade SP 21cm

This POP UP PARADE SP figurine depicts Kaname Madoka as she appears in the film *Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie – Walpurgisnacht: Rising*. Manufactured by Aniplex and distributed by Good Smile Company, it stands approximately 21 cm tall, including the base. This is a fully finished, non-articulated figurine, delivered pre-painted and ready for display.

The POP UP PARADE SP range is a special offshoot of the POP UP PARADE collection, designed to offer displays and finishes that go beyond the standard format of the series. This version of Madoka therefore features a particularly intricate design despite its relatively compact size, with an ethereal and dynamic pose inspired by her appearance in Walpurgisnacht: Rising.

The figurine captures Madoka’s instantly recognisable silhouette, with her pink hair styled in two pigtails and her richly detailed costume. The sculpture plays on the volumes of the outfit, the ribbons and the various decorative elements to enhance the impression of movement. The base forms an integral part of the composition and brings the total height of the figure to approximately 21 cm. The sculpture was created by Sho Nagano, whilst the painting was carried out by Yoishiredo.

Made from painted plastic, this POP UP PARADE SP is offered without a defined scale. Good Smile Company notes that certain parts of the paintwork are applied by hand, which may result in slight variations between individual production pieces. The figurine comes with its display base.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Kaname Madoka is the central heroine of Puella Magi Madoka Magica. At the start of the story, she leads an ordinary life as a secondary school pupil until she meets Kyubey, a mysterious creature capable of offering young girls a contract: the fulfilment of a wish in exchange for their transformation into magical girls tasked with fighting witches.

Madoka gradually finds herself drawn into a conflict whose rules and consequences prove to be far more complex than they initially appear. Her relationship with Homura Akemi, as well as the choices she makes in the face of the magical girl system, take centre stage in the narrative and lead to major upheavals across the entire universe.

*Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie – Walpurgisnacht: Rising* continues the universe established by the TV series and previous films, notably *Rebellion*. This new version of Madoka is directly inspired by her appearance in that feature film, which sets this POP UP PARADE SP apart from previous figurines dedicated to the character. The SP range allows for a more spectacular presentation and a more elaborate silhouette whilst maintaining a relatively compact display size.
