- Skeleton and Skin" concept: Assembly is in two stages. First assemble the detailed skeleton to understand the animal's anatomy, then attach the outer skin pieces to reveal its final shape.
- Scientific Realism: Every detail, from the bone structure to the wrinkled texture of the skin, has been designed to reflect current palaeontological knowledge of this giant of the seas.
- Natural articulations: The model has articulation points to simulate the graceful swimming movement of the rhytina.
