In reality, this vehicle was an absolute rarity: former racing driver Don Yenko modified just 201 standard Camaros. He fitted a brutal 7-litre Corvette engine under the bonnet, creating a quarter-mile monster. In the film, the car serves as a ‘punishment’ for an opponent and is then used for the spectacular finale on the boat.
