Origin and world of the character (Lore)
This figurine is part of a cross-collection celebrating the release of the film adaptation of Wicked, telling the alternate history of the Land of Oz before Dorothy's arrival. For the occasion, the famous Care Bears created in the 1980s are dressed up as characters from this reinvented fairytale. Grumpy Bear (known as Gromalabar in the French version), the grumpy blue bear recognisable by the rain cloud badge on his belly, adopts the armour of the Tin Man. This legendary character is condemned to search for a heart through a retelling of the witches Elphaba and Glinda. This unusual visual alliance combines the tender nostalgia of the teddy bears with the theatrical magic of the Oz saga.
