Origin and world of the character (Lore)
This figurine is part of a special collaborative collection released to coincide with the musical film Wicked, a work exploring the untold story of the witches of the Land of Oz before Dorothy's journey. In this offbeat series, the famous Care Bears created in the 1980s don the costumes of the mythical characters from the tale. Funshine Bear (known as Grosjojo in French), the optimistic yellow bear with a smiling sun on his belly, takes on the features of the Scarecrow. This legendary character is on a perpetual quest for a brain through the magical adventures of Elphaba and Glinda. This crossover combines the joyful innocence of the teddy bears with the fantastic, theatrical aesthetic of the Oz saga.
