Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Belonging to the same mysterious and unknown species as Grand Master Yoda, Grogu is a child over fifty years old who has captured the attention of the entire galaxy because of his very strong connection with the Force. A survivor of the terrible Jedi Purge at the Temple of Coruscant, he lived in hiding until he was found by the fearsome Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin. Initially hired to deliver him to the remnants of the Galactic Empire, the Mandalorian finally chooses to protect him at the risk of his own life. As their adventures unfold across the Outer Rim, an unbreakable paternal bond unites the duo, making Grogu an official Mandalorian apprentice.
