History and background of the model
The character of Jason Voorhees was imagined by Victor Miller, Ron Kurz, Sean S. Cunningham and Tom Savini for the inaugural film Friday the 13th, released in 1980, before becoming the unstoppable killer and central protagonist of the franchise from the next opus onwards. Inseparable from the cursed Crystal Lake holiday camp, the character adopts his definitive and cult look in Murders in 3D (Part 3), arming himself with a machete and wearing a hockey mask to conceal his deformities. He has established himself as one of the historical pillars and most influential figures of the slasher genre.
Marketed by Funko, the "Doodles" artistic variant revisits the killer's aesthetic by covering his silhouette with printed graphic motifs, paying homage to the illustrations and preparatory research drawings.
