History and background of the model
The Billy puppet character was created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell for the first film in the Saw franchise, released in 2004. Used by the Jigsaw Killer (Jigsaw / John Kramer), this frightening ventriloquist with a white face, cheeks adorned with red spirals and dark eyes serves as an intermediary to deliver the sadistic rules of his "games" to his victims. His appearances on his little red tricycle, accompanied by a squeaky mechanical laugh, have made him one of the most memorable figures in the modern history of horror cinema.
Marketed by Funko, the "Doodles" artistic variant revisits the puppet's terrifying aesthetic by decorating his silhouette with printed graphic motifs, paying homage to the preparatory illustrations and research drawings.
