Origin and character lore
In the horror universe of The Conjuring, Annabelle is not merely a doll in distress, but a physical vessel used by a particularly aggressive demonic entity to prey on human souls. Inspired by the real doll kept by the famous demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren in their occult museum in Connecticut, she takes pleasure in terrorising her owners by moving of her own accord, writing cryptic messages and causing violent paranormal phenomena. Locked away in a display case made of consecrated glass, with strict instructions never to open it, it remains one of the most terrifying symbols of contemporary horror cinema. This fold-out figurine pays homage to the saga’s iconic figure, embodying the thrill of the Warrens’ paranormal cases.
