Origin and character lore
In the Naruto universe, Katsuyu is a unique entity residing at the heart of the mystical and vast Shikkotsu Forest, one of the three great sacred sites for animal summoning alongside Mount Myoboku and Ryuchi Cave. Unlike toads or snakes, Katsuyu does not exist in large numbers: each summoning brings forth a portion, large or small, of a single, gigantic body. Bound by a blood pact to the powerful kunoichi Tsunade (the Fifth Hokage) and later to her pupil Sakura Haruno, she is an indispensable pillar during major ninja wars. Thanks to her ability to divide her cells (Katsuyu Daishinboku), she can fragment into thousands of small, independent slugs to cling to the wounded, remotely transmitting medical chakra and the exceptional healing properties of her summoners. Also capable of spitting a deadly acid (Zetsushi Nenshan), she embodies absolute benevolence combined with unyielding physical resilience. This soft vinyl figurine celebrates the most loyal ally of the Medical Sannin lineage.
