Origin and character background (Lore)
First appearing in 1954 in the short film *Devil May Hare*, directed by Robert McKimson, Taz is a hyperactive cartoon interpretation of the real Tasmanian devil. Characterised by an insatiable appetite and a vocabulary consisting exclusively of growls, guttural sounds and inarticulate screams, he almost always moves by transforming into a miniature tornado capable of devouring everything in his path, from entire trees to rocks. Although he is a fearsome predator to other animals, his utter naivety regularly allows Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck to easily outwit him. This foldable figurine celebrates the roughest-and-readiest mascot and one of the most memorable characters from the Looney Tunes gang.
