Origin and character background

Nobara Kugisaki is one of the main protagonists and the driving force behind the trio of second-year students at the Tokyo Exorcism School, from the dark fantasy epic Jujutsu Kaisen created by manga artist Gege Akutami. Originally from the Japanese countryside, which she fled to settle in the capital, Nobara stands out for her unshakeable pride, her volcanic temperament and her categorical refusal to compromise on her femininity or her identity as a fighter. A master of the formidable voodoo technique known as the Straw Doll (Suisatsushiki), she uses a hammer and nails imbued with her occult energy to curse and defeat demons from a distance.
