Add Avalanche’s big-hearted fighter to your collection with this Adorable Arts figurine of Tifa Lockhart, inspired by her appearance in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The figurine features her iconic outfit from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Tifa wears a short white vest top with black trim, a dark pleated miniskirt, protective shorts and long black socks. Her high-top red boots, featuring straps and thick soles, provide a striking contrast to the overall look.

Her arms have been rendered in exceptional detail. She wears black fingerless gloves, red and black arm guards, and several metal rivets. The elbow pads, wristbands and various reinforcements serve as a reminder that Tifa primarily fights in close combat and needs to protect her hands and forearms during her combat sequences.

Square Enix provides several interchangeable parts to recreate two different sides of the character. In her combat configuration, Tifa can adopt a martial stance, with her fists raised and her body slightly turned. Square Enix has officially confirmed that the accessories allow her to be displayed either in the heat of battle or in her role at the Seventh Heaven.

Character background and universe

Tifa Lockhart is a martial arts fighter and a loyal member of Avalanche, the underground group fighting against the Shinra Corporation. She has known Cloud Strife since their childhood in the village of Nibelheim.

In Midgar, Tifa runs the Seventh Heaven bar, located in the slums of Sector 7. The bar serves both as a meeting place for local residents and as a front for the activities of the Avalanche cell led by Barret Wallace.

Although she shares the group’s opposition to the exploitation of mako, Tifa has reservations about the violent methods used against Shinra. Square Enix describes her as a loyal member of Avalanche who struggles to reconcile her convictions with her conscience, a conflict that intensifies following the collapse of the Sector 7 plateau.

Tifa meets up with Cloud when he arrives in Midgar, claiming to have been a first-class SOLDIER. She helps him find work as a mercenary and encourages him to take part in Avalanche’s operations. Behind this apparent confidence, however, some of his memories and accounts stir deep concerns within her.

Both lived through the Nibelheim incident, but their memories do not match perfectly. Tifa is reluctant to confront Cloud directly, fearing she might further destabilise his mental state and call into question the certainties to which he clings.

After leaving Midgar, she continues the journey with Cloud, Barret, Aerith and Red XIII. In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, her guilt over Sector 7 and her doubts about Cloud play a significant role in her development. She is searching for a new way to continue the fight without repeating the mistakes she attributes to Avalanche.

In battle, Tifa mainly uses her fists and legs. She strings together rapid combos inspired by various martial arts techniques, quickly fills her ATB gauge and excels at increasing the damage dealt to an enemy in a Stunned state. Square Enix also points out that some of her skills are particularly effective against aerial or destabilised opponents.

However, her physical strength does not sum up the character. Tifa often plays an emotional support role within the group, particularly for Cloud. She observes his reactions, tries to understand his conflicting memories and seeks to help him without forcefully imposing a truth upon him that he may not be ready to accept.

The cocktail shaker included with this Adorable Arts figure is a direct reference to her work at Seventh Heaven. It evokes a more everyday side of Tifa: that of a bar manager beloved by her neighbourhood, able to welcome her loved ones and offer them a place to gather before the events in Midgar turned their lives upside down.

The combat pose, on the other hand, depicts her as a member of Avalanche and a martial arts specialist. These two depictions thus encapsulate the character’s key dimensions: a swift and determined fighter, but also a caring friend who seeks to preserve the bonds between the group’s members despite the trauma inflicted by Shinra.
